Don't forget to look behind the heart.... Use a survey sweep to look behind the heart for a multi-organ POCUS exam. In the PLAX view, there is a pleural effusion visible behind the posterior myocardium in the left lobe of the lung. This patient had lung consolidation with a parapneumonic effusion and rapid atrial fibrillation.
